About Mexican Radio:
Mexican Radio is a Berlin-based synth punk three-piece and The Mexican Radio Radio Show is their monthly mixtape made especially for you. In each episode, punk rock correspondent Dyan braves Berlin’s live music hotspots with her bandmates Nathaniel and Hannes in tow, and goes toe to toe with the wildest and most innovative artists coming through town. The band combine these on-the-scene interviews, hand-selected tracks and rehearsal room banter to create a living document of the thriving underground scene. Past guests include Franz Ferdinand, IDLES, Ezra Furman, Surfbort, Amyl & the Sniffers, Black Lips, Stereo Total and Sleaford Mods.
Join them every first Wednesday of the month as they fearlessly lead you through the cutting edge of new music and pay tribute to the synth punk, post punk, Neue Deutsche Welle and new wave they love.
“As a woman who loves loud heavy punk music, I wasn’t hearing enough of my own voice talking about it. So I basically have inserted myself into the conversation and dragged Nathaniel and Hannes with me along for the ride. The Mexican Radio Radio Show is a place where freaks and misfits like us can proudly wave their flags. We’re having fun, so should you!” –Dyan Valdés
