The Bear is Berlin’s favorite bilingual storytelling event, featuring real stories, told live. In honor of Berlin Science Week, Scientists took to the stage to perform true, personal stories in English and German.

In the spirit of Berlin Science Week, we conducted our own little experiment. We matched two people from different fields that hadn’t met before to talk about what they were working on and see if we could find some common ground.

The 11th DOKUARTS Festival presented 24 new full-length films on art which had never before been shown in Berlin, with many being German premieres. We previewed four of the features to find out more about the films and their creators.

The Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin serves as a platform to present contemporary developments in prose, poetry, non-fiction, graphic novels, and children’s and young adult literature from all around the world. On July 13th, the Houston-born, Berlin-based artist Lotic presented his debut album “Power” amongst the immersive walls of MONOM’s 4DSOUND installation at Funkhaus, Berlin. This one-time event celebrated the album’s release that day with Tri-Angle Records.
