Nikki is passionate about public radio, from walking around with headphones and microphone to gain people's perspectives, to editing the audio waveforms, to listening to the diversity of content. She got her start at Michigan Radio where she filed reports for daily newscasts and also features for The Environment Report.

She's worked for WGVU Broadcasting and Hawaii Public Radio as a reporter with a particular focus on energy, education and economic issues and was also a substitute host for Morning Edition and All Things Considered. She's produced content for American Public Media's Marketplace and won an Associated Press award for best ongoing coverage.
