It’s Wednesday and that means we have new stories from our Wednesday 3 p.m. series – catch a glimpse of someone else’s life: a memory, a worry, a funny encounter or an observation. This week, we feature Mike Trupiano and his story “Open Door” and Monika Müller-Kroll’s “Vanished.”

“I’m on the far outskirts of town, last top on the train. It’s Wednesday afternoon, I’m teaching German to preschool kids.”

“A light was on for several months. Each time I walked by the apartment I was wondering if the person had gone on a long vacation or if something had happened.”

Mike Trupiano is an American writer and actor in Berlin. You can see his short films on Instagram at @heartlandrefugee.

Monika Müller-Kroll is the producer of Wednesday 3 p.m. and no stranger to KCRW Berlin.
