Pairing accomplished creative minds with emerging talent: The Forecast Forum begins this weekend

The Forecast Forum takes place at Radialsystem this weekend, with 18 candidates presenting ideas to six potential mentors, before six finalists are chosen to take their ideas forward.

Innovative ideas, passionate people and experienced mentors are coming together this week at Berlin’s Forecast Forum. Now in its fourth year, Forecast pairs accomplished creative minds with new emerging talent.

The 2019-2020 program has chosen six international mentors from various fields who have selected a short list of 18 candidates. Those 18 will gather this weekend in Berlin, to present their ideas, from which the six proposals will be selected to move forward.

We spoke to two of the mentors who are taking part in the program, Berlin-based artist Candice Breitz and radio producer Joe Richman.

“What’s nice about forecast is that it is a conversation which has time to develop a depth,” explains Breitz.

A weekend of events around this year’s Forecast kicks off on Friday evening at Radialsystem, with opportunities to meet the mentors. For more information, visit our web page.
