Exploring empathy through character design at Pictoplasma Conference and Festival

This week, Pictoplasma Conference and Festival will bring in artists from around the world to take a closer look at the latest in character design and art. We sat down with co-curator Lars Denicke to hear what's new this year.

This week, Pictoplasma Conference and Festival — now in its 15th year — will bring together artists from around the world to take a closer look at the latest in character design and art, from artist talks to video game demos and more. Along with providing a forum for creators to show their work, the festival also aims to probe the viewer’s interaction with character design.

We talked to Pictoplasma co-curator Lars Denicke about those empathetic responses and what else to expect from the fest this year.

We are giving away three pairs of tickets for Pictoplasma’s “Best of the Festival” screening, taking place on May 12 at Babylon, on Rosa Luxemburg Strasse. Click here for more information.
