Bauhaus at 100: HKW’s ‘bauhaus imaginista’ celebrates the internationalism of the renowned art school

For the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus school, Haus der Kulturen der Welt is presenting the "bauhaus imaginista" exhibition. We caught up with the co-curator to find out more about how one art school influenced the world.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus art school, an institution that a century later still influences artists, architects and designers with its forms, colors, and composition.

To reflect on this legacy, we caught up with Grant Watson, co-curator of a new exhibit called “bauhaus imaginista” at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt: “What I hope comes through this exhibition is that the idea of the Bauhaus is kind of a historical resource,” says Watson.

“bauhaus imaginista” is running at the HKW until June 10.
