Ahead of this month’s Brexit deadline, Berlin Brits make plans to stay

Like many other British citizens in Berlin, Radio Spätkauf co-host Maisie Hitchcock is seeking EU citizenship ahead of this month's Brexit. We chatted with Hitchcock about her experience navigating the process.

The U.K. is currently set to leave the European Union on March 29, leaving thousands of German-based Brits scrambling to retain their residency status in Germany. For many people, that means seeking German or other EU citizenship, a process sometimes obscured by bureaucracy and layers of administrative rules.

We talked to Maisie Hitchcock, co-host of the English-language news podcast Radio Spätkauf and a British citizen, about her experience dealing with Brexit in Berlin.
