Berlin’s International Green Week, Grüne Woche, is taking place this week, with 1,700 exhibitors presenting over 100,000 products from around the world. Grüne Woche is the largest consumer fair for food and agriculture, which, on Saturday, attracted protests with thousands demonstrating for climate-friendly changes in agriculture.

We spoke to Klaus Hartikainen, the Communications Director for Finland’s Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners. Hartikainen told KCRW Berlin how Finland, the official partner country of the Green Week, is a leader in food standards and and why Finns are reputed to be the happiest people in the world.
