On Wednesday British Prime Minister Theresa May survived a no-confidence vote by members of her own Conservative Party. The vote was called over widespread opposition to her Brexit deal. May’s victory of 200 to 117 means that her deal remains on the table, however, it must still pass through a highly critical Parliament, making for an uncertain future.
We spoke to Andreas Kluth, Editor-In-Chief of Handelsblatt Today, about the response from Chancellor Angela Merkel and other leaders of EU member countries and what he thinks could happen next. His response? “I don’t think anybody has any idea…”
