Listen to our special on Berlin’s contemporary dance festival, Tanz im August, as it celebrates its 30th anniversary as Berlin’s “window to the international dance scene.”

We spoke to the artistic director of the festival, Virve Sutinen, dance critic and cultural journalist, Claudia Henne, Paradise Now (1968-2018) performer Sarah Bekambo, choreographers Aydin Teker and Elizabeth Streb, and Big Dance Theater co-funder Paul Lazar.
