Every September, authors from all over the world congregate in Berlin to explore the Zeitgeist in today’s literature and the themes that connect us globally.

Our half-hour special on Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin (Berlin’s International Literature Festival) features conversations with authors from Australia, Canada, Colombia, Kenya, Romania, South Africa, and the United States.

The authors we spoke with include Eliot Weinberger, Bruce Pascoe, Charmaine Craig, Gabriela Adamesteanu, Karen Connelly, Melba Escobar, Masande Ntshanga and Mukoma Wa Ngugi.

Interviews and production by Jess Sweetman, Sylvia Cunningham, Emily Bader, Charlotte Billing, and Monika Müller-Kroll
