The Taschenlampenkonzert (Flashlight Concert) by Berlin-based musicians Rumpelstil is a unique family event that lights up the night with thousands of flashlights brought by the audience.
Described as a “mix between a night hike and a rock concert,” this popular show has toured throughout Germany since 2003 and will return to the Waldbühne on September 22. For tickets and more information, visit Rumpelstil and Concert Concept Veranstaltungs-GmbH. Don’t forget your flashlight!
In conjunction with Deutschlandjahr, Rumpelstil will also hold a performance in Berlin’s Sister City of Los Angeles on October 20.
Deutschlandjahr, running from October 2018 through the end of 2019, will present today’s Germany to people across the entire United States. A joint initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office, the Federation of German Industries (BDI), and the Goethe-Institut, the campaign will showcase the links between the two countries’ heritage, common values, and shared interests in a series of events, exhibits – and podcasts! Stay tuned for further information on KCRW Berlin’s upcoming podcasts for Deutschlandjahr.
