More than 44,000 runners will participate in the 45th annual Berlin Marathon this Sunday, passing by iconic sites from start to finish. Of the tens of thousands of runners who have registered for this year’s race, fewer than half hail from Germany. The rest come from all over the world.
We spoke with Poppy Cross from London, Martina Powell from Jamaica, Katherine Wuestenfeld from Illinois, Patricia Donida from Brazil, Michael Neumann from Berlin, and Matan Korrub from New York City about their goals for Sunday’s race.
