Wolfgang Müller made a name for himself as part of the concept band “Die Tödliche Doris,” or “Deadly Doris” back when Berlin was a divided city. Along with other West Berlin post-punk bands, Die Tödliche Doris performed at SO36, an underground club in Kreuzberg, often described as “Berlin’s CBGB,” in reference to the famous New York venue.

This August SO36 turned 40. “Not everything – every space – becomes old after 40 years,” Müller says.

Currently, Wolfgang Müller is part of the group show “Berlinzulage” at Künstlerhaus Bethanien.
