ICAN strives to bring awareness to nuclear weapons with human chain event on Saturday

If all goes as planned on Saturday, there will be a thousand people standing in solidarity between the U.S. and North Korean embassies in Berlin. It’s an attempt not only to bring awareness to the escalating conflict between the U.S. and North Korea but to convince Angela Merkel that Germany should sign an international treaty banning nuclear weapons.

Martin Hinrichs of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) joins Monika Müller-Kroll to explain the organization’s mission and what he hopes will come from the organization’s Nobel Peace Prize win.
