Berlin-based cook Susan Choi finds her inspiration from her upbringing. She was born in Germany to Korean parents but grew up in Los Angeles in a mostly Latino neighborhood.
“As I was growing up, it was always like Bratwurst with kimchi, throw some Kalbi into a taco shell,” said Choi.
Now customers of this street food guru can taste Choi’s heritage in her flavors, as can the lucky guests who manage to score an invitation to her Thanksgiving feast.
Choi joins Sylvia Cunningham to talk about her favorite “not-so-secret” ingredient, one of her most memorable Thanksgivings in Berlin, and the star dishes on her Thanksgiving table.
